ABSTRACT
Muhlenbergia mexicana (L.) Trin. is reported from Poland for the first time. The species
has been found on the sidewalk at the Rondo Mogilskie in Kraków (Lesser Poland Voivodeship).
A detailed morphological description is provided, together with information on its taxonomy
and habitat. The paper also discusses the species’ distribution in Europe and its floristic status.
